Mr. B. RAMAKRISHNAN is a graduate from the Madras University, a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered accountants of India (ICAI) and a Graduate Member, who has passed the final exams of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI), has a tremendous record on the academic front having secured ranks in both the University level and Chartered Accountancy examinations. Mr. B.Ramakrishnan commenced professional practice in the year 1991 and with over 20 years of post qualification experience, is a renowned tax expert in South India. As regards the profession, Mr. B. Ramakrishnan handles appeals in Direct Taxes upto the Tribunal stage. He also handles complex search and seizure cases, before the Settlement Commission (Income Tax & Wealth Tax). He has experience in arguing on significant cases before the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) and is widely commended for being technically sound. He has acted on a number of high value tax disputes which are widely reported on various Tax Journals and Websites, including Top 100 Income Tax Rulings published by Taxsutra and CCH. He also briefs Senior Advocates in Tax disputes before High Court and Supreme Court. He also handles family settlements / arbitration matters, High Networth Individual (HNI) taxation and consultancy services to various Corporates and Multinational Companies.
